On wet days like this, when the rain is coming down sideways and the thought of the greater bay area flushing its lovely load out through the golden gate keeps all but the foolhardy inside, one has ample time to ponder the refreshing starts the rains will bring, unless that is of course you are working...
How fondly I recall the bygone days of childhood swimming and playing away in the rainy deluges of summer, or the minute downpours of the tropics that were enough time for a lather but never a rinse. My mind takes me into the mountains where the storm is surly headed to drop its much quieter and softer cargo of water in a frozen state. I dream of the future adventures in lands less struck by the 48 hour rules of biohazard that can accompany precipitous events.
I love rainy days because its days like this that sprout the seeds of dreams. Oh look, a rainbow...
