Steve Hawk Gets Super Barreled in the Mentawais

In this day in age it's not unusual to see guys getting their tits shacked off in every video clip that is posted online. We get desensitized into thinking that this is the "norm", but there is something really special about seeing yourself or someone you know get the barrel of a lifetime.

I've only met former SURFER Magazine Editor-in-Chief Steve Hawk a handful of times, but he is a super-rad veteran surfer who will share any knowledge he has with those who are passionately interested, and I truly enjoy his laid back attitude and demeanor. This video from the recent Billabong Surf With a Pro Trip To Kandui Resort in the Mentawais comes to a breathtaking close with Steve caught in the midst of one of those cavernous bombs that few of us get to enjoy first hand. Pure bliss.
